    Principal Sherrill's call-out script (UPDATED 6/16):

    Good Evening,

This is Mr. Sherrill, Principal of Northview High School.

This is an important announcement for our 2019-2020 graduating seniors and their parents. The Commissioner of Education has issued an Emergency Order concerning Bright Futures community service hours and test requirements for the 2019-2020 graduating senior class. If your child had planned for, and intended to complete, prior to the student's high school graduation, any additional community service hours for the Bright Futures Scholarship and was unable to do so due to school and business closures, please contact your school counselor. In addition, the Emergency Order also addresses the testing deadline by allowing students graduating in the 2019-2020 academic year to test through July 31, 2020. If your child plans to take the ACT, SAT and/or the PERT in July in an attempt to earn the required minimum SAT, ACT and/or PERT score for a Bright Futures Scholarship award, please contact Mr. Atallah at 761-6010.

I also will now share some Graduation Information for our graduating seniors and their parents. Our graduating seniors will need to drive through our bus loop on Thursday, June 18th between the hours of 9 and 11 AM to pick up their graduation tickets for their guests that will attend our graduation ceremony.   We will also give out any medals or chords that they may have earned that they may wear at the Graduation ceremony; along with some printed instructions.  Please remember that our graduating seniors must arrive at the Pensacola Bay Center on Wednesday, June 24th between 12:45 PM and 1:00 PM fully dressed for graduation.  Please park toward the front of the Bay Center, and a staff member will direct our graduates to a special entrance.  Family members and guests must report to the Bay Center between 1:00 PM and 1:45 PM with their tickets in hand.  Family and Guests that are not at the main entrance by 1:45 PM will not be allowed into the Bay Center, so please arrive early.  I look forward to seeing all of you very soon, and GO CHIEFS!!
